What happens when I hire your fountain?

We will send out a booking form (parts 1 & 2) and a copy of our terms and conditions.  We require a deposit of £100 to secure your booking and the remaining balance is payable 8 weeks before your event, at which time we can discuss any final details and your food requirements.

How long are you there?

The fountain will run for 2 hours (other packages can be negotiated) and we will attend the event approximately one and a half hours prior to the time to set up and approximately another hour and a half to take down the fountain and clear away.

What kind of chocolate do you use?

We use only the finest Belgian chocolate.  The fountain requires between 10 - 12 kg of this chocolate to run smoothly and efficiently.  Unlike some other companies - we DO NOT water down our chocolate or add extra oil or fruit juice to it.  All you will get is pure chocolate - NOTHING ADDED!

What food will be provided?

We have a range of popular dips which includes strawberries, profiteroles and doughnuts, marshmallows and jelly babies.  You can choose to have all of the above or any combination to suit your tastes.  We can now also offer other options such as an all fruit dip - strawberries, kiwi, melon, grapes, etc., or we can provide a dip of your own choice.

How will we know what to do?

The fountain will be fully manned throughout the event with our uniformed staff.  They will be on hand to advise and show you how to successfully dip with maximum chocolate and minimum mess (vital at weddings).  We will also be hand to make up the dips to your individual tastes (the children love this!).  Then all you have to think about is enjoying yourselves!

What about food safety?

There's absolutely no need to be concerned about the cleanliness and hygiene practises of our staff.  They are all fully trained in health, hygiene and food safety and all have certificates that can be produced for you to see.  We have been assessed by Torbay Council Environmental Department and are deemed fit to serve the general public.  At the event, all spills will be immediately cleaned, skewers discarded after one use and another provided and all staff will be wearing gloves for your safety and hygiene.  We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and are often praised at events for our attention to this.

Other useful information

We at Loveday are always mindful of the fact that some of your guests may be elderly or have standing/walking difficulties.  Maybe some of the children are too small to reach the fountain or

just don't want you to lift them up!  In such cases, we provide bowls filled with the dips of their choice and smothered in our delicious chocolate which can then be served to them, with a fork, whilst seated.  We even provide sprinkles for the kids!


Here at Loveday  we endeavour to use only ethically sourced craft materials and crystals.  We NEVER make any two pieces of jewellery or craft the same, as we believe that if you are paying for a handcrafted piece then that piece should be UNIQUE and EXCLUSIVE only to the one person who is purchasing it.  If you should ever experience any difficulties with your purchase within the first month (an extremely rare occurence), then we will not hesitate to replace it completely FREE OF CHARGE with our compliments.  We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and our name is synonomous with quality.  We would also like to hear about your good experiences and welcome your comments via our e-mail address or by phone (details on the Contact Us page).
